Single Review: Dead Natives – The Love I Have

dead natives

Dead Natives: the dynamic alternative rock foursome hailing from southern England. The band consists of founding members Liam Dutch (lead vocals) and Nick Lemon (drums) alongside the newly recruited Robbie Ferguson (lead guitar) and Adam Payne (bass).

The single, produced by Ian Flynn of Werkhouse Studios, screams psychedelic alt-rock; like Arctic Monkeys with a dash of Tame Impala thrown in for more than good measure. It is truly sensationally stunning! The theme of a decaying relationship permeates the rich lyricism, this paired with the classic riffs allows for a euphorically chill vibe the listener can’t help but savour – mainly the reason why it’s gone straight in my favourite playlist. The track in its entirety would transparently work unfathomable wonders in artistically lit intimate venues.

The band are set to release a new single in August which will precede their biggest show to date at Islington’s O2 academy 2; they also have an EP due for release mid-September. As a whole, the band brings soaring guitars, psychedelic melodies, and a lively rhythm, as well as a whole lot of auditory satisfaction!! They’re definitely worth keeping your eye on!

Dead Natives have released their latest single ‘The Love I Have’ on the 17th June and is available to stream and download on Spotify, Soundcloud and Bandcamp.
