Scottish outfit Dr. Veers combine 90s alt rock and pop

Scottish quartet Dr. Veers is gathering hype with the release of their debut EP ‘Who Owns the Moon?’.

Based in Glasgow, the band is comprised of Dylan Forbes (vocals, bass, guitar), Omar Al-Asadi (guitar), Angus Rive (vocals, bass, guitar) and Mark Adam (drums) who all met at university.

Inspired by bands such as Nirvana, Weezer and Abba, Dr. Veers achieve their own particular sound, blending riff based 90s alt-rock with catchy hooks guaranteed to keep the listener entertained.

Title track ‘Who Owns the Moon?’ is already a popular hit with fans since the demo was released. The low-fi rock tones and vocals similar to 80s acts like The Smiths and Joy Division, and is a groovy number.

Kafka (To Be Frank) is slightly more vocal-led with a barrage of 90s alt rock drums, riffs and bass behind it whilst ‘Electrify’ has gungy rock riffs that are so divine.

Final track ‘Come and See’ emphasises the high energy beats throughout their music, as they incorporate their frenzied and galvanizing sound through each track on the debut EP.
