Modern Indie rockers, The Lutras, have been shortlisted in Firestone’s Road to the Mainstage Competition. Alongside seven other artists across the UK, The Lutras have the chance to play at a leading UK festival as well as an array of other prizes.
The Lutras, which is made up of Ben Clements, Thomas Gillan, Finlay Maxwell and Danny Heron, have made a name for themselves in the past few years, playing shows across the UK and recently releasing their highly-anticipated single ‘Vari’.
Here at ICM we have been following The Lutras’ journey since they played our April showcase alongside Jamws and The Gallerys.
Speaking about the competition, bassist and songwriter Danny Heron explained the band are ‘ absolutely buzzing to be here. We want to get past the days of cramming our gear into a Fiat Punto and Firestone’s Road to the Main Stage might just give us that opportunity’.
The competition which has been running for five years, gives promising unsigned artists the opportunity to reach a bigger fanbase and take their music to new places. It is supported by TV and Radio presenter Abbie McCarthy, who is an official ambassador for the competition.
Take a listen to their track ‘Vari’ and if you like what you hear, show your support by voting for them in the competition. Voting ends on the 12th November and to make your vote count, make sure you verify it through your email as well.
