Ryan Waite creates lyrically emotional alt pop

Salt Lake City musician Ryan Waite has released new sweet alt pop track ‘Turn a Light On’.

Striving to create catchy songs that can still sustain sentimental, emotional and melancholic Ryan has got that down to a tee. ‘Turn a Light On’ is lyrically emotional involving memories, regret, and nostalgia narrated from real or fictional perspectives.

Speaking of the single, Ryan said: “This song is a push for listeners that are struggling to make the leap to search something out that is uncomfortable, as I did when I was leaving Mormonism.

“Whether it be the history of one’s religion or a political party that they currently support. To ‘turn a light on’ means to step outside your comfort zone and gain perspective and enlightenment that might seem scary at first, but in fact, expands your perspective and brightens up your visibility on life, religion, politics, philosophy, or whatever it may be.”
