Guildford punk-rock quartet Rugrat have unveiled their latest energising single ‘Rarity Jacket’.
Following up on debut EP ‘Public Humiliation’, the band have a very small presence online but are armed with mighty punk songs with a purpose.
‘Rarity Jacket’ is a thumping rock anthem with gritty riffs and hoarse vocals. The band’s trademark jaggy post-punk and infectious riffs take influence from the likes of Yard Act, False Heads and Fontaines DC.
The track’s foot-stomping beat and deep vocals with a hoarse edge adds to Rugrat’s mysterious ethos who were formerly performing under the name Liquorice.
To coincide with the release, Rugrat have dropped a music video which sees the four-piece commandeer a charity shop and a mannequin as they take it along for a ride through their hometown with a unique jacket.
Watch Rugrat perform live at our 10th anniversary show this Saturday (October 12th) at The Finsbury Pub, London. Get more details here.
