Punk rockers Elephant Jake boost in maturity on new single

Elephant Jake - shipment only knifing

Indie quartet Elephant Jake dropped a new single ‘Shipment Only Knifing’ in December last year in preparation for their upcoming tour and a future release.

The self-described indie punk band from Orange County, NY – who have two albums, an ep, and a three-way split under their belt – show a striking boost in maturity on this new track. This is in part thanks to their producer Chris Pederson who gives a clear fullness to the song. The band has also listed Sam Guseman and Skyler Bennett as additional help on the track.

‘Shipment Only Knifing’ left Elephant Jake on a high note at the end of the year in terms of their very consistent quality. This track became a live show staple while on their most recent tour with Richmond (Virginia) based rock band In The Water.

Not only is it quite the earworm but a sign of growth in the sound of the band. The song still keeps the bouncy fun of their former tunes, but it has cut out all the roughness around the edges bringing a more concise and focused sound. Keep your ears open for what may come next!
