Ones To Watch 2020: The Covasettes
Manchester indie rock outfit The Covasettes are the fourth ICM Ones To Watch artist who made huge inroads in 2019 and that looks set to continue.
Since forming in 2016, the band has been perfecting their addictive, riff-laden sound which leaves a lasting impression on promoters, venues and fans with their infectious live set.
The Covasettes have undeniably earnt themselves a firm place amongst Manchester’s lively music scene and that has been spreading south when they recently supported Deco at Camden Assembly. Their blissful burst of punchy guitar riffs, heavy drums, captivatingly catchy choruses, indie-rock intelligence and a ginormous handful of raw talent smacking you round the face.
In April the quartet are to head out on a UK tour where the pre-sale sold out in minutes which is just a huge testament to their progression. From debut single ‘This Feeling’ to their debut EP It’s Always Sunny Above The Clouds, which includes ‘Twit Twoo’ and ‘You & I’, The Covasettes have big plans over the next 12 months to release more unique guitar riffs and emotionally energetic vocals.
