Nylophone meticulously crafts bittersweet indie dream-pop

Irish indie dream-pop musician Nylophone has released his debut single ‘Summer Feeling’ depicting a breezy simple summer ambience.
Hailing from a coastal town called Greystones, Nylophone (aka Naill Woods) writes meticulously crafted lo-fi with dream-pop that sounds bittersweet and wistful. The debut ‘Summer Feeling’ incorporates folky, finger-picked guitar, vintage synths and catchy breezy melodies in the style of Ariel Pink and The Shins.
Before lockdown most of Niall’s time was spent teaching piano and guitar, but like many artists losing their job due to Coronavirus, he finally found the time to finish a stack of old projects he had lying around.
Naill added: “The pressure of losing your job and being forced to stay in for most of the day can take its toll, and in many ways ‘Summer Feeling’ is an escapist daydream that paints a picture of freer, easier time.
“Fittingly was released at the height of summer, when those fantasies will have edged a little closer to reality.”
This single is first of many from a forthcoming EP which is produced by Rían Trench (formerly one half of Irish electronic dup Solar Bears) to have the kinks ironed out).
There will be a new song being released each month so if you like what you hear stay tuned. In the meantime listen below an share your thoughts by leaving an ICM Star Rating out of 10!
