Stockport formed four-piece ‘No Hot Ashes’ are back with their latest single ‘Eight till late’ and it’s a real banger.
The track is inspired by the band members mutual love of 70s & 80s funk & disco, this is shown by the intoxicatingly funky bassline that carries the song. The distinctive vocals of Isaac Taylor just float nicely to create a really well-rounded track.
The aim of this track was to move the listener physically and emotionally Lead vocalist Taylor opened up about its emotionally fueled lyrics saying: “The single is about mental health and how it’s affected me and people around me.
“I wanted to give a fairly honest account of how day to day struggles can weigh on the brain, everything from work to your favourite fizzy drinks being tampered with.
“As a band, we think that modern life is all a bit much and taking time to fix your head is essential.”
