New single “Prodigal Son” showcases Rationale with his spectacular vocal depths over a signature electro-infused track, complete with rousing chorus.
Based in London, Rationale has just come off supporting Bastille on their arena tour of Europe. Rationale was born in Zimbabwe where his mother introduced him to music via her eclectic record collection, before relocating to the United Kingdom. These early influences are reflected in Rationale’s stylistically diverse discography, and will doubtless be expanded upon in his debut full-length project, out early next year.
As voices go, Rationale’s rich is one of the most distinctive and unique out there.
‘Prodigal Son’, which he describes as “an autobiographical song that came around accidentally. It explores my relationship with my biological father at first but if I’m really honest, it also explores the relationship that a lot of my friends have with their absent fathers.”
