Nadia Sheikh provides eclectic mix on ‘Everybody Hears But No One’s Listening’ EP
Kicking off 2020 with a huge start, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Nadia Sheikh has shared her new EP ‘Everybody Hears But No One’s Listening’.
Following her UK and European support tour with Sterophonics, the Anglo-Spanish musician received incredible feedback and reviews across the board. Taking her sound from the studio to the stage, this is an optimistic project of good-time tunes, heartfelt lyrics and full throttle performances from the get-go.
The five-track package (produced by Nigel Walker and Jamie Morrison) is a culmination of Nadia’s impressive career so far. An indie-rock triumph of anthemic singalong choruses, arena-worthy vocal performances, splattering of pop, big room guitar work and infectious, memorable moments from start to finish.
‘Toxic’ is a melodic track, with a catchy chorus driven by Nadia’s strong vocal performance and ‘Break Free’ sticks true to her indie-rock roots, as it builds into a powerful lead guitar break, and at almost four and a half minutes in length, it’s a wonderful roller-coaster of atmospheric pop and guitar rock.
Speaking about the EP, Nadia said: ““Everybody Hears But No One’s Listening’ is a very eclectic mix of songs, they are all very dear to me and the lyrics are very personal to me too. Some come from personal experiences and others are my observations of the world.
“They’re all very poppy but you have the rockier side with tracks like ‘Toxic’ and ‘Get Away’ and the more intimate part with the bonus track ‘The Wire.’ They’re all very different but it all connects and is very representative of myself as an artist and songwriter, and also the sound the boys and I currently have.”
Keeping the momentum up to maximum effect, Nadia Sheikh is already thriving as the new decade begins, but with a new EP on the way, she’s only just getting started on what promises to be a huge point in her career.
