Cavalcade – ‘Alkaline’ – MAM’s Song Of The Week

London indie-rockers Cavalcade caught our eye when they starred on a Modern Age Music bill at 229 in London in October. They put on an energetic and powerful performance to a packed house, and their debut single is another impressive step from the band.

Engineered and mixed by producer Jonathan Hucks (Spring King, Sisteray), ‘Alkaline’ certainly packs a punch with intelligent guitar riffs and driving bass throughout. The four-piece hail from the East London & Essex border, and have been busy on the gig scene through 2018, including a recent slot supporting Trampolene at Camden’s iconic Dingwalls.

Of the song, the band said: “We wanted to show the world what Cavalcade is all about, and the song sends a message about living for the weekend and embracing your adolescent decisions.”
