The Palpitations

The Palpitations are the four-piece London band who also happen to be frontline Covid 19 doctors. The band were formed by two disillusioned doctors who bonded over their shared attempts to navigate the emergency department of their local hospital in Luton.

After several months on the frontline fighting Covid 19, they’ve dropped debut EP ‘Feed The Poor! Eat The Rich!’, including lead single ‘Siren’. Each track tells the true story of a patient encountered in hospital, with ‘Siren’ speaking about the ravages of drug addiction on a young woman.

The track itself is alt-rock ridden post-punk which paints the picture of struggle and anguish.

The band say it is important for people to “know what is really happening on the ground through the eyes of doctors, and not politicians. From our own POV, we want to raise a message of social justice through our own music”.
