Modern Age Music Song of the Day: SWEARS – ‘Say Nothing’

Middlesbrough four-piece SWEARS have dropped debut EP ‘Seersucker’ today, a four-track offering containing elements of grunge, alt rock and punk.

Track two ‘Say Nothing’ is a fast-paced cut with rolling guitars, pumping drums and an urgent psych-addled lead vocal creating a frenetic three-minute blast of psych-punk.

The band said of the EP: “Lyrically, ‘Seersucker’ deals with themes ranging from depression, climate change and “the end of the world”, to existential frustration and anger towards divisive elements of society, struggles with addiction and toxic relationships, and the nature of God, religion and the human condition.”
