Modern Age Music Song of the Day: Egyptian Blue – ‘Nylon Wire’

Brighton-based post-punk outfit Egyptian Blue have dropped their second EP ‘Body Of Itch’, following on from 2019’s well received ‘Collateral Damage’.

The band’s stock rose rapidly in 2019 with the release of the debut EP, and a busy live calendar including a coveted support slot for The Murder Capital on their UK tour.

Opening the EP is ‘Nylon Wire’, a punchy track which draws in the listener with catchy, urgent guitar riffs. The lead vocal is forceful and energetic. It’s an encapsulating example of the band’s ability to build tension and change pace to keep the listener engaged.
