South Yorkshire four-piece Civic Green have dropped debut single ‘There Is Always a Light’, a driving, anthemic indie anthem which signals the start of an exciting journey for the quartet.

The band, who hail from former mining villages around Yorkshire, explained of the new track: “It was initially created at a practice session and over time the song has developed into what you hear today.
“‘There Is Always A Light’ and a second track were recorded at Flipside Studios in Coventry the weekend before lockdown. Since then we’ve had former member Liam (Distorted North) create the single’s artwork, and Corey Eyres (Approach The Wolf) create the lyric/music video which you can watch across our social media pages.

“Before lockdown we had plans to release the song and go on a tour to promote the track, but due to current restrictions we aren’t able to play live shows. We decided to still release the track as planned and we aim to get back performing live when it’s safe to do so.”
