Cornwall’s Blue River have dropped new single ‘Tetsuo’, out today via These Bloody Thieves Records.

The indie surf punk quartet have found a darker side with the new release; ‘Tetsuo’ is a brooding lo-fi track inspired by Global warming, as lead singer Perran Nicholls explained: “This tune is about Global warming, and the effects it has on us.

“Tetsuo is Japanese for ‘Clear Thinking Man’. The verse goes “save me baby let me go, your eyelids darling you should close” which kind of means the planet is screaming ‘save me’, but some people just don’t want to see it, so it’s also saying shut your eyes and be blind to it.”

The band have enjoyed early support from Radio 1, Radio X and more and will support Shaun Ryder in Yeovil on September 18th.
