Brighton duo SONS have dropped new single ‘The Sermon’, and the two brothers are back with a bang.
True to form, a monster guitar riff drives the track and a fuzzy vocal from frontman Lee Meldrum leading into an anthemic chorus.
The single, out on These Bloody Things Records, highlights the band’s ability to deliver a pertinent social commentary through the medium of fuzzed-up punk rock. ‘The Sermon’ is delivering a message on social media and how it fits into the wider social picture.
Lee comments: “It’s me preaching about social networking and how people put up an image showing their life and how happy they are but really it all just fake”.
