MAM Song of the Week: GLOO – Stop and Stare

After self-releasing debut album ‘A Pathetic Youth’ and garnering support from Kerrang!, BBC Radio 1 and more, South Coast punk trio GLOO dropped single ‘Stop and Stare’ earlier this year.

The band, based in seaside town Littlehampton, have been championed for their DIY approach, and ‘Stop and Stare’ is perhaps the best example to date of their melodic high-octane punk rock.

Of the single, drummer Mark Harfield said: “I see it as a nod to all things social media and not being able to do anything without someone watching.

“This was the first track we wrote after finishing our last release ‘A Pathetic Youth’, and we were so happy that we were able to still crack out bangers that we love playing live!”

GLOO support fellow South Coast band The Novatones at Bar 42 in Worthing this Thursday 12th September with last tickets at www.modernagemanagement.com/gigs or via Skiddle.
