MAM Song of the Week: Couples – ‘Rip ‘Em Out’

Camden five-piece Couples are becoming much talked about on the London live music circuit, with word spreading fast of their enthralling live shows.

The band only have one single currently released, and ‘Rip ‘Em Out’ is a fine example of the bands ability to captivate an audience with strong messaging and a powerful sound which fuses elements of post-punk, alternative rock and grunge.

The track rises and falls, slowing before exploding back into life with fuzzed-out guitars and passionate energy. The vocal from frontman Conor Collingwood is emotive and visceral, lending an insight into his much talked about live performances.
