LOST BEACH produce reverb-soaked guitars

LOST BEACH is the brainchild of Los Angeles based Jonny Perdue. Releasing his latest indie-pop single ‘Shadows’, it takes a departure into sunnier sounding territory for the band.

The native Texan came to California to further his pursuit in music, finding guitarist and collaborator Steve Stout via a chance encounter while both playing for siblings of two different bands.

The tracks upbeat, driving rhythm and reverb-soaked guitars set a bright backdrop for the shadowy, melancholic melodies. The song was co-produced and mixed by Freedom Fry’s Bruce Driscoll.

During his time on the coast, Jonny met Hermosa-raised drummer Davey Latter and bassist Zacc West, also linking up with keys player Davey Allen after seeing his performance at a soundcheck in LA. ‘Perdue’, meaning lost in French, and the band’s residence on the coast inspired their moniker LOST BEACH.

Talking about the track, the band said: “I was in a place where I was writing a lot material that tended to lean toward the sad side of things. I wanted to be able to keep the lyrical content that was coming to me at the moment but make the song sonically more upbeat even happier.“

‘Shadows’ is now available through indie label, Caveman Arts Society.
