London quintet YAWWN blend psych and indie rock

YAWWN are a five-piece Indie Pop band from South West London. Recently releasing three incredible singles within the space of a month, the band have set themselves up to be a promising addition to London’s emerging music scene.

YAWWN released New Life in April and then followed with Gotta Wanna Get Somethin’ Goin’ and Mantissa in May 2019. All three tracks perfectly combine infectious lyrics with powerful, rhythmic soundscapes behind them.

The tracks blend the psych-rock and indie-rock sound that is familiar with YAWWN and encases it with infectious and building guitar riffs that produce an incredible sound.

Likened to incredible bands such as Bad sounds, Foals, Everything Everything and Tame Impala – the iconic anthem-releasing legacy of these bands is not far off the horizon for YAWWN who have the potential to make waves in this echelon of artists.

YAWWN are not only making incredible music but they’re a recognisable chess-piece in London’s live music scene, having been known to organise their own underground music night in the heart of South West London. The band previously played their first ever headline show at The Waiting Room in Stoke Newington in May and we expect will back soon impressing audiences with
their infectious sound.
