Emerging from the heart of Leeds, Central Arcade is one of the freshest new sounds around with their debut single ‘Hideaway’.

Bringing big sounds, catchy hooks, tight rhythms and punchy bass lines to the table, the young group of lads have come together to create a unique sound.

Formed in January of this year, the quintet are heading into their third year of university and are booking gigs left right and centre.

The new single ‘Hideaway’ captures a broad sound of raspy but cut through clean vocals, big guitar sounds like Catfish and the Bottlemen, catchy hooks like Two Door Cinema Club as well as sound filling drum and bass parts that lock together intimately. It delves deep into the mindset of someone being stuck in two minds and not being able to come to terms with something, cutting themselves off from the world when it’s not going to plan.

Communal writing sessions and various musical backgrounds gives the band a huge spectrum of influences to channel when writing, this helps bring a noticeable sense of connection between them and the music.

Often found in the local watering holes the city has to offer Central Arcade are definitely keen to put Leeds back on the map. Check out ‘Hedeaway’ amongst our ICM Discoveries playlist! Follow us to find new artists every week.
