HUNYBEES burst out with a ray of must-hear summery indie pop

Hertfordshire-based indie duo HUNYBEES are creating glorious indie tunes that are just waiting to be discovered by you.

With effortless charisma and energy, Charlie Preston and Louis Bailey have released four singles this year including brand new single ‘Better This Time’ last month.

The drive of the song is that no one deserves to be walked over and not appreciated in a relationship, the statement that “maybe I don’t deserve better” is never true. ‘Better This Time’ empathises with that feeling of hopelessness, and voices it from an outside perspective, looking in.

Electrifying guitars and high-tempo, crashing drums sets the speed to a controlled turbulence as the rumbling beat showcases the duo’s knack for crafting a bouncy and boppy indie pop tune. After the two-minute mark an awesome guitar solo breaks out too.

The track follows up on summery bop ‘Ecstasy’ which focuses on the feelings and experiences of those years transitioning from a teenager to an adult.

At that point you begin to learn about the harshness of reality as you become more aware of your own character and surroundings. There are moments that stick with you as you witness a shift in mindset.

Speaking about the track, HUNYBEES said: “Despite the upbeat melody and summer fuelled guitar lines the song is reminiscent of childlike ignorance of situations, in terms of love, drugs and friendship.

“Whether it’s the truth of a feeling towards someone or the risk of a decision, sometimes it’s easier to ignore that and dance.”

HUNYBEES also worked with filmmaker Bradley Martin and director Hannah Brown, for a music video on the track. It’s a well-choreographed video and is a must watch! Within the first week, the video reached over 15,000 people!
