FLYNT boast fierce and rhythmic indie pop

FLYNT

Northern-brewed indie pop band FLYNT release their first single of the year ‘I Need a Minute’.

Made up of four school friends in Cumbria, the quartet brace fierce melodic hooks against a thick rhythmic backbone.

‘I Need a Minute’ is an absolute corker of a track. It kick-starts straight into the pop riffs and blissful vocals. The single is a powerful statement and sends a message of what more is to come for this exciting pop band.

Comprised of Brad Kavanagh, Emma Dockeray, Steven Norman and Calvin Thornborrow, the band has gone from strength to strength, earning a place on BBC Introducing’s ‘Ones To Watch 2020’ list and have played a dozen well-known indie venues across the north of England.

The band have spent the first part of 2019 working with Rob Whitely (The Wombats, The Night Café) of Whitewood Studios in Liverpool, recording their three track debut EP, which has been mastered by Grammy nominated mastering engineer Robin Schmidt (The 1975, Wolf Alice, Nothing But Thieves) – we at ICM look forward to hearing it.
