Fishing in Japan release shimmering indie-pop

Fishing in Japan

Dallas quartet Fishing in Japan only formed in March of this year and they’ve already hit the ground running with numerous singles and a debut EP – building up a vast catalogue of shimmering indie-pop.

Formed by high school students Wolfgang Hunter (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Landon Headstream (lead guitar, synth), they were later joined by Matt Luna (drums) and Dante Zatto (bass) so they could start looking at the bigger picture.

Their latest attempt, ‘Here for You’ kicks off with jangly guitar-pop before Hunter’s raw vocals start to bounce over the carefree drumming.

Fishing in Japan are all set to release their next single ‘Salieri’ next week (August 23) and have said that a debut LP is “in mind for later next year.”

But one thing they do need to sort out is to create a Facebook and Twitter account! In the meantime, check them out on Instagram.
