Energetic quartet Fire Fences produce vibrant indie rock

Energetic indie rockers Fire Fences are proving to be one of Wales’ most promising acts with the release of their latest single ‘Take Control’.

Based in Bridgend, South Wales, the quartet were recently crowned winners of the UK-wide Firestone Battle of the Bands competition in 2018. They were crowned winners through both a public vote and a panel of judges.

The new single ‘Take Control’ has that Foo Fighters vibe about them. It’s vibrant and catchy melody and lead singer Aaron Nicholas’ vocals go hand in hand.

About the single, the band said: “Take Control is about always coming back around to that same person no matter what has happened and just wanting to get back on track to how things used to be. ‘Take Control of my mind’ leans towards a longing of wanting to be addicted to and be fixated on this one person again.”

Fire Fences are one of 10 bands chosen by The Forte Project where exciting new artists to receive development opportunities for the best in new music emerging from Wales.
