Discover fuzz pop and velvet punk of TIFFY

TIFFY

Boston based multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, Tiffany Sammy, known as TIFFY, has released her new single ‘LA Fade’.

As a Southern California native turned New England transplant, Tiffany’s sound has evolved through the many phases and transitions in her life.

The song is the lead track from TIFFY’s latest EP, Fire Sale. Tiffany’s songs are a collection of bedroom fuzz pop/velvet punk songs that fall between Pavement and Frankie Cosmos.

‘LA Fade’ is a new term that has come about, equivalent to an “Irish goodbye” to define, when you leave a party without saying goodbye. The song’s upbeat tempo could be played at any party, but its lyrics reveal what most attendees feel: the urge to make a quick exit and get home to their own space where they’re alone.

TIFFY self-recorded the EP and is the sole writer, composer, producer and performs on all instruments for each track. While boldly a solo endeavour, the individual nature of each song prompted her to collaborate with different mix engineers to comprise the EP and develop each track’s unique sound. The resulting piece as a whole is alluring; Fire Sale is inherently collective and defiant of conventional boundaries.
