Fears Chella are an evocative Manchester and Stoke-on-Trent based four piece who cheekily blur the lines between Indie vibes, Grungy sounds and poppy melodies.
Led by Vocalist Andy Gannon, Fears Chella was born when he and bassist Tom O’Neill found guitarist Chris Hewitt and drummer Ben Tansey to complete their 90s indie influenced sound. After playing house parties and dingy basement shows to test their lineup and sound and to develop an energetic live show the band decided to release their first single.
In June 2016 the band released their debut single ‘Cool’ which rapidly earned them BBC Introducing’s ‘Record Of The Week’ and amassed thousands of plays online within just a week. Having been holed up in their own ‘Chella studios’, the band have now written stacks of songs and are currently working on recording the material.
The band is also due to support All Tvvins on their UK tour next month at Stokes popular indie venue, The Sugarmill.
