Discover catchy melodies and hooks from Reminders

Reminders

Isle of Wight trio Reminders who go by their self-coined genre “Beach Punk” return with their first single of the year ‘Post Paris Blues’.

Reminders have a strict focus to take their music and message as far as it can go, and reach as many people as possible. Despite catchy melodies and hooks, the bands’ lyrics resonate with fans all over, who travel far and wide to be involved in Reminders’ all encompassing and a live show that they pride on being a ‘safe space’ for all people.

Earlier this year, the band gained the attention of Sean Bohrman, founder of California-based record label Burger Records, who, loving their beach punk sound, signed them up to a distribution deal.

As they continue to work hard in the studio, Reminders hint that the best is yet to come, and eyes should remain peeled, and ears pricked…

“Menial but specific things stick in my mind, like hanging out in Ventnor’s botanical gardens on the Isle of Wight or confessing feelings by pools,” says lead singer Leo Dyke. “Sooner or later these are just memories and when everyone else has moved on, you are stuck thinking about it and romanticising it.”

This is Reminders’ first release since last year’s All Talk No Action EP and sees the band work with producer Boe Weaver (Rhys Lewis and Wolf People). Post Paris Blues is the first of many planned releases through indie music powerhouse Burger Records.

“We couldn’t be happier that it is coming out on Burger Records,” adds Leo. “They are the coolest record label ever, and it is a dream to be on their roster, they’ve released music from Dave Grohl, Thurston Moore and Green Day.”
