CLOSEUP: Artist Spotlight – Prose

Prose

Close Up Promotions speak with Manchester indie hip-hop duo Prose this week as they prepare to return to London for a headline show next Thursday (June 27th).

Prose, it’s a pleasure, we’re such big fans of your music! You return to London for your biggest headline yet in June at Hoxton SBK, what should we expect?

Easy guys! thank you man, it means a lot. Yes, we are coming to London again and we’re excited! we always have a sick show in London and this is gonna be great because we’re about to drop some new music so the fans will have something new to sink there teeth into before it!

What’s been the best show you’ve played to date, and why?

I think our best show so far has to be our Manchester Academy show we did in March this year. there were 600+ people all singing back to us and we played with a ten-piece orchestra too! it was magic.. Reading and Leeds Festival was a close second thought that was insane! full tent, the crowd went mad, and we were on the same poster as Eminem.

Your tunes have been listened to millions across the world as Spotify informs us, Spotify is now such a big player in the industry, how important do you think it is for acts?

I think Spotify is a big one man the industry has changed so much in the last ten years and it’s so important to roll with the times. Spotify has been a great way for people to discover our music man so we are all for it.

If you created a Prose Festival and could pick 3 headliners, who would you go for?!

Good question man! well firstly Prose.. obviously. then I’d say maybe Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Tupac. Sounds like a good time to me.

Will there be new music for us to hear soon, possibly even next at our show?

We’re gonna play loads of new stuff along with some of our fan favourites, one of the new ones will be released by the time the show comes around too so we can’t wait! see you there guys its gonna be mega!

You’ll just have to wait for new music, but in the meantime, if you haven’t already, listen to current single ‘See Me Like This’ below.
