Charlie Belle – riotous yet rhythmic

Alt-pop duo Charlie Belle share their second single of 2018 ‘Essay’ as they prepare to release their upcoming third EP ‘Like I Love This’.

Hailing from Austin, Texas, the duo are situated in a thriving music city of blues and rock, providing them with the best platforms to get their music heard.

The new single kicks off with a seriously groovy and rhythmic guitar line from singer and guitarist Jendayi Bonds backed up with her brother, Gyasi acting all cool, calm and collective on the drums.

The track is infectious alt-pop at its best. The melodic beat is catchy and the songwriting capabilities of Jendayi shows Charlie Belle’s maturity is not defined by their young age.

Since leaving their record label, Charlie Belle has recorded two five-song EPs with the help of Blue October’s Matt Noveskey. Both EPs focus on stories of change, maturity, loss, and moving on.

Like I Love This is due for release September 25.
