Callow Youth are on the brink to become one of the finest Brit-rockers to come from the Mecca of Manchester as they release new EP ‘Straight To The End’.
The EP, released April 30th, represents the varied emotions experienced when up against the sometimes overwhelming complexities of life today.
That could be anything from the pressures, the emotions, the needs, to the (hopefully) indestructible instinct of the Human spirit not to give up. But to overcome and find your ‘happy place’, no matter how small.
‘Straight To The End’ is the final track of four, which is about reminiscing on old acquaintances and schoolfriends who were prevented from reaching their true potential by bullying and shyness.
They envisaged so much for their lives only to have their confidence stripped and replaced with a feeling that their life is like a wave rushing over them and that time has ran out to do anything about it.
Well-known for their big on melody and soaked in jangly riffs, Callow Youth deliver a fiery brand of hook ridden indie rock.
The lads channelled all of that energy into the first single taken from the EP, ‘Over Your Head’ which made one hell of a noise on the scene.
‘Over Your Head’ is about the common man’s daily life in Britain and the effects of social deprivation and manipulation of these people by those who seem to be on their side, but actually just using them to further their own agendas.
Callow Youth are arguably the hottest young band to come out of Manchester in the last few years. Straight To The End EP has just solidified their place on the indie landscape further.
