Brighton indie outfit White Room have announced a debut headline UK tour to support the December 1st release of double EP ‘Eight’.
Having been signed recently to the legendary Liverpool label, White Room’s nod to ’60s psychedelic rock alongside more contemporary influences, such as Pond, Temples and Cage The Elephant, is evident in their new material, with ‘Eight’ being described by the band as “a collection of songs that interlock conceptually, comprising similar themes such as forward thinking, hope, positivity and escape”.
Taking stock also of the current social and political climate around the world, the title of the record is a direct reference to the number of infinity, with the lyrical and musical themes reflecting this with a focus on balance and power in unity.
Discussing the release, the quintet commented: “We are offering a way to lose yourself; find an escape, and to embrace the intrinsic ability music has to take you away from the harsh realities of life”.
