London quartet Box Time share new single ‘Another Excuse’ driving forward aggressive rhythms and 60s styled guitars.

Since forming in 2018, the fast-paced indie rockers comprise of John Chamberlain – Guitar and vocals Barny skinner – Guitar and backing vocals Paddy Chamberlain – Bass Ryan Peek – Drums.

‘Another Excuse’ encapsulates the current mood and frustration that we are all living in and it will speak to a lot of people.

Frontman John, adds: “It’s about being forced to live submissively and be a part of a system, a cog perhaps in a machine. It’s also about releasing your inner frustrations, going against the grain and doing things that make you happy instead of living in a monotonous world.

“The song was a bit of a diary entry for John who went through a lot in a short space of time and decided to form Box Time as a result.”

Taking influence from the likes of Joy Division, Nirvana, Foo Fighters and some of the Manchester bands like Stone Roses and The Durutti Column, the band have an eclectic mix of true 60s and 70s rock classics. Recorded by their producer Nico Secretin all the way in Belgium, Box Time show off some awesome guitar breaks and catchy vocal hooks. It has a more grungy and energetic tone and the lyrics add more relevance to the current situation that we’re all living in.
