Blue River take us back with 60s surf rock

Blue River

Hailing from the beautiful south coast in Cornwall, Blue River emerge with their new single ‘Lie Next To Me’.

The well-established indie quartet bring together solid rhythms, catchy melodies and vocal harmonies to create a sense of pleasing indie surf perfection, with the right amount of dirtiness to keep you satisfied.

The surf punk single ‘Lie Next To Me’ is a blast from the past with some 60s inspired guitar riffs over modern vocals from Perran Nicholls.

The band say: “The song is about trying to get your mate out on a night out, but people are holding that person back and you are starting to see less and less of your mate, it’s kinda saying, the grass could be greener on the other side, take a leap of faith and see for yourself.”

Alongside Perran is guitars and vocals Marc Willoughby, bass guitars Adam Knuckey, and drums Brett Buddy. Ever since the release of Lucy their first single of this year, the band have continued to strengthen their songbooks and releases of punchy and energetic pop.
