Blood Red Shoes latest single ‘Mexican Dress’ is easily a modern rock classic. Fuzzy guitar, a bouncy beat, and seductive vocals. Don your scratched up leather, grow your hair out and rock out with this addictive tune.  Get those Doc Martins tapping.

The Brighton-based pair has certainly grown up and polished off their sound, its mature and sexy in a dark moody way. Gone are the angry punchy days of old. While there is something charming and enjoyable about those older almost teenage emo tracks they are not a patch on the modern singles.

‘Mexican Dress’ has a lovely modern feel to it. Catchy as all hell with a gritty edge to it.

The dynamic duo Blood Red Shoes have on the underground scene since 2010 with four studio albums under their belt. And yes, if they sound familiar, their song ‘It gets boring by the sea’ was in Scott Pilgrim VS the World. The Brighton based band are creating a buzz in the air with their hotly anticipated new album ‘Get Tragic’ on Jazz Life records.

‘Get Tragic’ is out January 25. All details including the nearly sold out tour are on their website.
