Abbie Ozard shares snappy new single 'Crocodile Tears'

Indie high-riser Abbie Ozard returned with her glistering new single ‘Crocodile Tears’ earlier this month as the Manchester singer-songwriter is set to take 2020 by surprise.

Abbie’s indie pop edge and reverb-soaked vocals gives a fresh take on the indie rock scene – and everyone is loving it. ‘Crocodile Tears’ carries her soft vocals and infectious hooks to the back of the room as her attention-grabbing music unabashed about its femininity and the honest lyricism cutting deeper than most.

She said: “‘Crocodile Tears’ delves into the realms of someone who continues to pretend to cry when you know that they’re not really bothered at all. The song explores a girl at peak frustration levels, her head as messy and as confused as ever…”

The ICM Awards Greatest Discovery Nominee 2019 released her debut EP last year including hit single ‘Heartbreak Radio’ and has captivated a fan base that loves the blissful, broken-up guitar work, crushing percussions and dreamy pop – like Hazel English and Day Wave – which people are already singing along to.

Recorded with Rich Turvey, Abbie Ozard has hit up a fantastic creative partnership and we can’t wait to see what’s ahead. She’s so far been announced to perform at this year’s Live At Leeds, Truck Festival and Tramlines Festival. If you’re also in London on Thursday and are a fan of ICM’s Ones To Watch 2020 artist Zuzu, then catch her supporting the Liverpudlian at Dingwalls, Camden.
