‘Eye to Eye’ is the latest single from Glasgow punks Gallus.

The quintet, who take their name from the pub at which they met, are fast building a reputation for their raucous live shows and razor-sharp indie punk.

Guitarist Eamon Ewins explained of the new track: “The song was written coming up for a year ago. Barry and I sat down to write the lyrics about how polarised society was becoming in the run-up to the General Election, but then as we got closer to lockdown we saw how the pandemic was polarising people even further.

“We’ve seen all the various injustices that have all been exacerbated by the current crisis.

“The complete and utter failure of people to work towards common interests and goals when power or money is at stake.

“That’s why we chose to put a wee half verse in that explicitly acknowledged the pandemic.”
