Catalina Skies create stick-in-your-head indie pop

Catchy, upbeat and exciting, that’s London trio Catalina Skies who have just released their latest single ‘Hey’.
Comprised of Craig Surace (Lead vocals, guitar), Sean Hanrahan (Drums) and Chris Macmorland (Guitar, backing vocals), the indie rock outfit have created the perfect summer bop.
‘Hey’ follows up on March’s single ‘Fear King Kong’ with a fun and bouncy beat making it impossible not to dance to. It sounds like a song you would find on High School Musical. It’s jam-packed with stick-in-your-head guitar riffs, rolling drum solos and touches of synthesizer keys.
Speaking about ‘Hey,’ Catalina Skies said: “It’s a story of lust, desire and passion between two people… with bad timing thrown into the mix.
“The song and its music video have been brought to life, in true lockdown-style, with clips from fans all over the world, singing and dancing along in the summer sun.”
Catalina Skies started writing the song before the UK went into lockdown. Meaning they had to fine-tune, record and produce on Zoom. The Recording Studio London has brought their pop song to life with charisma and energy.
The band have also shared a music video for ‘Hey,’ featuring friends, family and fans dancing, singing or whatever it may be from across the globe. Check it out below and leave an ICM Star Rating out of 10.
