Nick J Music radiates psychedelic rock-pop

Having successfully navigated a series of youthful missteps, Nick J Music is an artist who’s ascending.
Radiating a psychedelic blend of indie rock-pop, the Australian-based artist, known as Nick Jovicic, has dropped his debut EP Be Honest.
A highly talented young pianist and composer, Nick has seen himself through ill-fated business degrees, gap years the distracting drug haze of tech colleges to arise with a clear view of himself and how to take positive action towards personal fulfilment.
The Be Honest EP successfully juxtaposes his authentic self, pure emotional resonance and raw expression amongst psychedelic structures, and dreamy vibes.
After stumbling across introductory song ‘Let Go’ for recording and mastering to Studios 301, Nick was encouraged by Assistant Engineer Liam Johnston to record as much as possible whilst in the studio.
Nick seized this action plan and proceeded to capture the harrowingly psychedelic ‘To Think I Had Time’, with its sobering realisation that action needs clarity and presence and the title track Be Honest, that ramps up the emotional intensity from discomfort to self-confidence in his experience of coming out.
Focus single ‘I Need You’ encapsulates his genre-bending pop that maintains his honesty, exploring his loneliness over distorted bass and the raw capture of his distended vocal, imploring to connect. Be Honest EP presents Nick Jovicic expressing and exploring his sense of self amongst the melting pot of modern influences, a young person manoeuvring to be heard clearly against a swirl of suggestion.
