Paper Fight

Indie quartet Paper Fight has burst onto the scene with their punk rock-infused debut single ‘Normality’.

The band – comprised of Dominic Benjamin (Lead Vocals, Guitar), Scott Walker (Bass, Backing Vocals), Matt Barker (Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals) and Tim Rolph (Drums) – only formed at the beginning of the year and already have two singles under their belt; ‘Normality’ and energising sophomore single ‘Fade Away’ [Listen here].

‘Normality’ merges grunge rock and early punk rock as the Paper Fight take their influences from icons such as The Gaslight Anthem and The Menzingers to early skatepark heroes such as The Offspring.

Speaking about the track, frontman Dominic said: “Normality is written about a friend of mine that was always getting in trouble with his partner because he never got his priorities straight.

“Growing up I was always a massive fan of bands like The Offspring. When writing this song, I wanted to throw in that influence.”

Based in Essex, Paper Fight have whipped up an exciting and infectious sound; packed with energy and catchy singalongs, and we can’t wait to hear more. Listen below and leave an ICM Star Rating out of 10.
