Anna’s Bones create uplifting melodic alt rock

Essex-based trio Anna’s Bones have released their debut single ‘Sow’ with an uplifting mix of guitars and yearning vocals.
Comprised of Rebecca Simmonds (vocals), Aaron Munday (bass and synth) and Harry Dickens (guitar), they bring together wide-ranging musical influences, from folk to electronic, to create Anna’s Bones’ melodic sound.
The debut single ‘Sow’ was written by Rebecca to try and bring about hope and strength for the future. It’s for lovers of Metric, Bat for Lashes, and School of Seven Bells, ‘Sow’ is a song about transformation and new beginnings. Anna’s Bones also enlisted the help of Finnegan Kidd as guest drums – “the world’s coolest drummer” (Tim Burgess).
On recording the track, the band said: “The recording took place in January over one day, so we didn’t have time to be precious which we really loved. We were really focused and there was a happy vibe in the air that day.
“The track was mixed by Toby (Kidd at Bark Studios) and then mastered with Eve Mastering. So glad we pushed for recording early this year!”
