Brighton duo SONS has released their latest supercharged single ‘Sweat’ as the band of brothers get a good grip on the year ahead.

Following the success of their first five singles, Reptiles’, ‘A Love Song?’, ‘Zealot’, ‘Rise’ and ‘The Sermon’ the new track is blatantly anthemic, a huge guitar riff paves the way for a monster chorus drop. ‘Sweat’ showcases SONS ability to write sharp and catchy hooks and this time get personal.

SONS is made up of Lee and Nick Meldrum who have been making music with one another and have just signed to emerging label ‘End Of The Trail Creative’ (Family Jools/Pip Hall).

John Kennedy added ‘Sweat’ to his X-Posure playlist on Radio X ahead of its February 14th release and also have two live radio sessions under their belt, for Radio X and BBC Introducing. What makes SONS so special is their ability to articulate the anger and frustration that ebbs and flows through this messed up nation, pre-Brexit and post-Millennial.

Of the subject matter singer Lee commented: “The meaning behind ‘Sweat’ is it’s a song about falling for someone you knew was a player and the inner turmoil you have with yourself over the time together and afterwards.”
