Many people have said that George Ezra’s ‘Shotgun’ was the epitome of summer, although I beg to differ – have you heard the Lauran Hibberd track, ‘Call Shotgun’?
Firstly, at the forefront of every great musician there is the music – the discography – a catalogue of ensembles that need to be spot-on to perfectly represent an artist. Lauran Hibberd clearly mastered this when she kicked off her career and displayed her voice in all its purity with the delicate, ‘Hunny Is This What Adults Do?’. We then see this approach even more throughout her latest releases, ‘Fun Like This’ and ‘What Do Girls Want?’.
As the releases come rolling out, we start to see more adventurous musical endeavours – in other words, a somewhat comfortability from Lauran Hibberd and leading in to the new year, this is a promising outlook.
Lauran Hibberd in the next 12 months
It’s evident that we’ll be hearing a lot more about the budding musician throughout 2019 because she has already hinted at more summery, let-loose energy on the horizon.
There are also plenty of opportunities to catch lauran live, firstly on her extensive tour alongside Hippo Campus, stopping off at iconic venues, such as Glasgow’s The Garage, O2 Shepherds Bush Empire and Lido in Berlin. Secondly, she is set to perform at Live At Leeds in the summer.
