MAM Song of the Week: Drusila – ‘Single Life’

Drusila

It has been a busy 12 months on the live circuit for indie-electronica outfit Drusila, with dates around the UK and slots at festivals including The Great Escape, Tramlines, Cro Cro Land and more.

The bands upwards trajectory comes off the back of 2018 releases ‘Want You’ and ‘Confusion’ which gained extensive BBC Introducing support and landed the duo on the radar of many.

New track ‘Single Life’ is a dark atmospheric indie electronic track with a dash of hip hop. The single shows another edge to Drusila and their creative and expansive approach to songwriting.

The band commented: “The song portrays a soured relationship and the idealistic visions of escape. The use of 80s drum machines and synthesisers create an expansive space of sound representing the freedom on the other side.”
