You me at six, are one of those bands that grew on us with time. Our musical tastes changed and also YMAS adapted with time. Regardless of whether we’ve been on the bandwagon from the first stop, they’ve always had a successful career. The band have had 3 Top 5 albums including a UK Number 1 on their last release Cavalier Youth (2014) and have sold over 600,000 albums globally.
With anticipation building for YMAS’s new album ‘Night People’, it looks like 2017 is going to be another huge year for the band. They’re set to release the new studio album ‘Night People’ on January 13th 2017 through Infectious Music.
The album, their fifth, was recorded in Nashville at Black Bird studios with Grammy award winning producer Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, James Bay) and mixed by Andrew Scheps (Black Sabbath, Red Hot Chili Peppers). Therefore, should definitely confirm their status as one of the most important rock bands to emerge from the UK.
After their surprise set at Reading and Leeds over the weekend, they kicked stuff off with their latest offering, the title track ‘Night People’.
‘Night People’ is ‘what you wanted’ and ‘it’s what you need’. Festival ready and powerful backing vocals give this song real depth that you just know will be able to fill a packed out festival tent. Throughout the whole 3:03 minutes it sustains a steady beat that just provides a nice tempo to bop your head to.
If you were lucky enough to see them perform the song at their surprise set at Reading and Leeds over the weekend, well, our jealousy cannot be measured. But if like us, and you haven’t yet joined the gang and become a night person live. Then you can check them out on the following intimate October dates:
