Wax Heart Sodality stamp their authority on debut alt rock single

wax heart society

British quartet Wax Heart Sodality emit power and authority on their debut single ‘Alphas’ as they look to set their mark in the industry.

The group sat down with Steven Bardgett from lo-fi garage rockers Mouses and recorded the alt rock track that screams garage rock riffs, bellowing vocals and meaningful, yet bold lyrics try to show you a new secret society – their society.

Talking of the track, the band said: “The song is set within an abstract scenario of being caught up in a spat between the uber-conservative alpha male of our childhoods and a personification of the ultra-informed upcoming ‘generation alpha’.

“It takes a nonchalant tone of togetherness as the song’s protagonist voices his frustrations about both sides.

“For those who don’t care about meaning, the track is a pounding road/arthouse garage rock number with driving rhythm, sharp, stabby guitar and rich baritone vocals.”

Wax Heart Sodality is an organisation that has existed for thousands of years, dating as far back as Roman times. A secret society that operates below the surface of civilisation with one simple aim, to light the way for those lost within the darkness of despair.

Throughout history, they have taken individuals from the precipice of oblivion and raised them up to various glories. If you think back to the ‘from rags to riches’ tales you read about in the newspaper and the historical stories of those who have achieved greatness you learned at school, there’s a good chance that most of them will have been a result of the Wax Heart Sodality.
