Manchester three-piece False Advertising has returned with the launch of a video for their single ‘You Won’t Feel Love’, following its premiere on Radio 1’s Rock Show last month.
The single is a promise for what the band’s future hold – particularly as we look forward to a brand new full-length album from the band.
False Advertising is made up of Jen Hingley on vocals and guitar, Josh Sellers on bass and Christopher Warr on drums and vocals.
Jen Hingley explains: “Both the song and video deal with delusion and false pretence, the idea of someone who might go around pretending they’re having the best time ever, all the while something deep down is really eating away at them.
“We filmed a bunch of situations, some through different sorts of make-shift camera filters (which involved sticking various bits of plastic to the camera lens) to try and uncover this character’s sense of weird self- suppression and denial that I’m singing about.”
The band recently performed at The Great Escape and will go onto perform at 2000 Trees Festival as well as a string of other festivals, headline and support dates across the UK.
