Tides burst out onto scene with explosive rock debut

Hold on to your hats as high-octane rock band Tides burst onto the scene with debut single ‘Silver Lining’.

The five-piece from Lincoln bring colour, melody, harmony and depth to traditional rock songwriting; never afraid to experiment or bring new flavours to the mix, while still drawing from their influences with pride.

Comprised of frontwoman Chloé Jolivel, Aaron Hall (guitar), Aaron Smith (bass) and Adam Perkins (drums), Tides produce soaring rock anthems with a tinge of punk attitude.

The debut single ‘Silver Lining’ delves straight into relentless driving riffs which underpin the heartfelt and soaring, occasionally desperate, vocals from Chloé.

The song buildups unstoppably toward the lyrical conclusion, perfectly executing a crushing drop into the final section, when the rhythm cuts loose with a blues-metal groove.

Drawing comparisons to the likes of Alter Bridge, Black Stone Cherry, Halestorm and Muse, the band have a well-balanced dynamic. Aaron Hall brings in a creative flair whilst Chloé bridges the gap between clarity and aggression with her soaring, powerful vocals.

Thomas Osborne adds melody and harmony, giving a classic rock feel. He strives always to elevate and underpin the songs with simple but effective note choices.

Adam Perkins and Aaron Smith are the powerhouse with flair and dynamics; never fading into the background, but adding to the rhythmic and tonal landscape, solidifying the captivating drive of the songwriting.
